1. Acceptance of terms
By creating a ReadRise account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of yourself and any child whose account you manage. If you do not agree, please do not use ReadRise.
2. Accounts
ReadRise accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity that occurs under your account or your child's profile.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse ReadRise, including by attempting to disrupt the service, reverse engineer it, scrape content, share accounts across families, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
4. Content and intellectual property
All passages, questions, illustrations, and other content provided through ReadRise are owned by ReadRise or its licensors and are provided for personal, non-commercial use by enrolled families only.
5. No guarantee of reading improvement or results
ReadRise is a practice tool, not a tutor, therapist, or substitute for qualified educational, medical, or psychological services. While ReadRise is designed to support the development of reading comprehension skills, we do not guarantee any specific reading improvement, score increase, grade-level change, test outcome, academic result, or other educational benefit from using the service.
Outcomes depend on many factors outside of our control, including how often a student practices, their individual learning needs, their prior reading experience, and support they receive at home and at school. Any progress indicators, phase placements, skill scores, or projections shown inside ReadRise are estimates intended to motivate practice and inform parents — they are not assessments, evaluations, or predictions of future performance.
If you have concerns about your child's reading development, please consult a qualified teacher, reading specialist, or other licensed professional.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans, if applicable, renew on the cadence shown at checkout until canceled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
ReadRise is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of content, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadRise and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of educational outcomes, academic results, profits, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to ReadRise will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to ReadRise at any time if we believe these terms have been violated. You may stop using ReadRise and close your account at any time.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ReadRise after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
